As a Mid Level Games and Simulation Engineer you will be responsible for developing game and simulation technologies and solutions for the advanced simulation and gaming team at ICF. You will be expected to work with artists and other engineers in developing games for training and simulations from design through development, and ultimately completion.We are looking for Mid Level Software Engineer to work for a team whose work spans complex immersive simulations to casual and mobile gaming. Game engine experience is vital, especially with Unity3D. - Technical development in gaming and/or simulation on projects delivered on time and on budget. (Web, social media, mobile)
- Responsible for developing code and working along side of small team of developers towards successful completion of games for training projects
- Communicating engineering (code) updates to project technical lead
Basic Qualifications:
- A thorough understanding of game mechanics, solid engineering practices, and loves making games!
- 3+ years of technical experience on similar projects
- Detailed technical understanding of game and simulation design
- Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Strong knowledge of object oriented design, design patterns, and data structures
- Strong Gaming experience using the Unity 3D engine
- Ability to work within fixed deadlines
- Strong knowledge in at least one programming language preferably C++ or C#
- Art aesthetic and understanding of learning objectives and how they are applied to simulations
- DoD experience preferred
